Welcome to GibesWorld. Here you'll find all things that encompass my world. I'm Ken, and I live in Tucson AZ. My immediate relatives are mostly around Tucson, but my lineage is from Pekin IL, Peoria IL, Bartonville IL, Milwaukee WI, Pellston MI, and Larks Lake MI. There are two Gibes families in the U.S. that I'm aware of, and I'm related to one of them. So, if your last name is "Gibes," chances are I'm either related to you or I'm not!
The site is pretty much "under construction," so you'll find new stuff just about every time you visit it. I expect to post family videos and pictures, "Top 10" lists, editorials and political commentary, stories and experiences, and my hobbies (along with, of course, my kids' hobbies) that will hopefully interest the typical Gibes.
In "Musings", you'll find links to my favorite websites, stories about growing up in the Gibes family, editorials (just to get stuff off of my chest), my "favorites" (i.e., books, movies, etc..), and whatever else I feel like posting.
In "Photos", you'll be able to see and download my favorite personal photos. Most of these are of my extended family and friends. If you like a particular picture, go ahead and download it. Simply right click the photo and select "Save As..." and then provide a name for the picture.
The "Video" section contains the homemade slideshows and videos I've made, mostly of my family and my kids' sports teams. You'll need the ProShow Presenter Plug-In for your web browser in order to play them. Simply select a slideshow or video to watch and you'll be prompted to have the browser plug-in automatically installed. Don't worry... it's secure, and you can remove the plug-in anytime you want through your browser tools menu.
